Passion and discipleship are trademarks for Mike Nelson, a 20-year veteran of student ministry and pastor to over 300 teens. He believes servanthood and accountability play key roles in preparing and equipping students to be followers of Christ. Mike is crazy about computer technology and ice cream, of which he is an expert. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Peggy, for 27 years. Together they have authored The Backstage Pass, which is message series and small group resource for youth leaders, Altar Helps, I’m Thinking About, as well as other ministry tools. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law. Kyle and Taran are graduates from Lee University and are music/college pastors in Valdosta, GA; and Scott is an engineering student at USF in Tampa.
