I have been married to David since 1995, and am a Mom to Nora and Ian. We are excited to be involved as a family in many different activites in our community. I volunteer in my children’s classrooms, coach cheerleading at the college level, and teach tumbling at my children’s gym.
I have been involved in Youth and Children’s Ministry since college, as a volunteer and also as a camp counselor and a member of a choral group. I have served in a church setting as a staff person since January 1997. I have served in United Methodist Churches, and am currently the Director of Youth & Children’s Ministries at First Presbyterian Church in Findlay.
I have a BS in Psychology (minor:Communications)from Ohio Northern University and a MA in Christian Education (specialization: Youth Ministry) from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
My hobbies are reading, dancing, napping/cuddling with my children, and listening to music. Last year, my husband (a runner) and I (a walker) began completing marathons. To date, we have completed 2 full marathons and 1 half. Our children will also be completing their first children’s marathon this year. What a great joy for us.
My heart in ministry is to teach others about who they are in Christ. I love learning more and teaching about spiritual disciplines. In youth and children’s ministry we are partners, with all ages within the church. I believe this training will help all of us to recognize the importance of community (koininia) in our faith-walk.
Blessings!
