Serena is married to Mike and is currently serving as a middle school youth minister in the Dallas area. She has 15 years of ministry experience, serving families as a missionary to Russia, in church settings in Virginia, Missouri and Texas, and as a professor of Christian education at Concordia University of Texas. She is currently writing a doctoral dissertation on young adults leaving the church and understands that faith formation begins in the home!
