What do I do if my friend is making a bad decision?
It is hard to see others you love making bad choices and turning their backs on God. Let me assure you that you are doing the right thing by praying for your friend constantly. You cannot change her life for her, but you can pray for her and God DOES have the power to do a miracle in her life.
Your friend is fortunate to have a someone who is so concerned for her that she goes to God in prayer for her. Here are some verses that you may have the opportunity to share with her. Don’t shove them down her throat. Pray that God will give you the right time to share with her.
Proverbs 13:20 “He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”
Proverbs 2:10-15 “For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; Discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things; From those who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who delight in doing evil, and rejoice in the perversity of evil; Whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways.”
1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
2 Corinthians 6:14 “Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?”
