The Rapture
A day is coming when “the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God.” He will appear in the clouds and call his people, all believers, to join him in the clouds. The dead in Christ will rise first from their graves, then those of us who are alive will join them. Look at I Thessalonians 4:13-18 and I Corinthians 15:51-55.
When will this day occur? We don’t know, but it could happen any time. After we are taken up to the clouds, we will join with him in coming back at the Battle of Armageddon to stop the conflict that would destroy the world. When peace is established, we will rule with Jesus for a thousand years, called the Millennium.
