Stress

Stress can come from many different circumstances. Here are some suggestions on handling it:

  1. The first place to start is to identify the source of the stress: family conflict, lack of sleep, bad grades, difficult relationship, a recurring sin, a death in the family, betrayal by a close friend, or something else.
  2. Pray and ask God for wisdom so you will know his will. Pray according to Colossians 1:9-14.
  3. Talk to a trusted friend or pastor to get support and encouragement.
  4. Get plenty of sleep. That will help more than you might think. At least it will help you think better.
  5. Eat well.
  6. If the stress continues and you feel hopeless, find a Christian counselor to talk to.
  7. And keep praying. God will give you his peace. The road to get there may lead through some steps of resolution.
